Story
Please help these poor children escape poverty through education!
The Conrod and Norbert Academy at Bapatla in Andhra Pradesh educates some of the poorest children in India, many of whom are orphans or destitute. The school is a registered Christian minority school in a largely Hindu country. Many people in India regard these children as social outcasts and worthless, but our Christian friends in Bapatla have been caring for around 200 poor children for over 30 years, and provide them with a high quality English-medium education (with qualifications recognised throughout India) to lift them out of the poverty trap.
What will your money will be spent on?
£5 will buy school uniforms for the children.
£10 will buy books and stationery.
£100 will pay for new science equipment.
£1000 will help to pay the teachers’ salaries for a month.
Why help?
The school is dependent on financial support from abroad, and with the drop in the value of sterling following the UK’s decision to leave the EU, is desperately short of funds.
Please help us to raise £15,000 during March & April to keep this wonderful school going for another year.
Any amount you can give would help us reach our target!
Please share this campaign on Facebook and Twitter.
Many thanks!
