Story
I am trying to raise funds to enable the North East and Yorkshire regional cerebral palsy football team to continue as a football provider for people with cerebral palsy and other neurological conditions in the North East and Yorkshire catchment area/ regions, we are the only disability specific (cerebral palsy) football team within the North East and Yorkshire area, who plays to a regional standard in a structured league for people with cerebral palsy.
The team currently is facing issues with funding and we are doing our best to raise funds to enable the team to continue with our training sessions and league/cup fixtures.
the team play against teams in the Northern Cerebral palsy football league, (North west A team, Northwest development squad and East midlands) we play 12 fixtures a season, we also play in a annual cup competition facing teams from both the North and south, matches are played in a 7 a side format, with slightly adapted rules to accommodate various ability levels. i.e. no offsides, roll ins and rolling substitutions and 22 minutes per half.
An organised event is scheduled for Sunday the 18th of June, the event has been organised by a local group who do an annual tractor drive around the local villages to raise money for good causes/ specific groups, they have chosen us as their group for this year and we are very grateful.
We will be hosting a raffle and a donations collection on the day of the event to help raise some much needed funds for the club, any donations to help with funding would be greatly appreciated by myself and the team.
A close friend Greg Lowther, has also entered himself and his friends into a tough Mudder event that is taking place on the 30th of July they will be raising funds on the teams behalf.
Please share and help us raise awareness/ support & funds for our cause , support is greatly appreciated. TY
