Story
Mrs McCarthy and Mrs Ford are doing a tandem skydive on Saturday October 20th (weather permitting) to raise money to help cover the costs of new laptops and equipment for our ICT suite and classrooms.
Mrs McCarthy has been part of the school since her son started here in 1999 and daughter in 2002 as a parent helper, who then went on to be a teaching assistant for 2 years before taking a part time job in the front office in 2003. Since then her job has grown with the demands of the school and is now our School Business Manager. She has managed many projects within school over the years as well as the conversion to an Academy.
Mrs Ford is the Grandma (Nanny) of three children who currently attend our school with her eldest grandchild who started with us in year three and is now at Henlow Academy. Mrs Ford although not living in Clifton herself is very supportive of the school and looks after her grandchildren on a regular basis. Having spent many years as a Learning Support Assistant herself at Samuel Whitbread, the education of the local children is very important to her.
We are both super excited as well as petrified. There are so many charities that are close to both of our hearts for personal reasons it was very difficult to choose. Hence why we came up with the idea to raise funds for the school and keep it close to home. Neither of us are spring chickens anymore and it would be fantastic if we could raise over a £1000 with all of your support. We look forward to showing you the photos and sharing our experience!

6 years ago£1547 total received! Thank you to everyone that has donated and supported us and our school. These funds have helped to pay for new laptops. Technology moves so fast and its very difficult for schools to find the money to keep up with the constant upgrades and changes demanded by society! Our just giving page closes on 30th November for anyone still wishing to donate. Thank you all so much, it really is appreciated. Justine & Geraldine
