On the 1st of April 2019 I rook Jet for a walk at Staple Hill woods near Taunton, one of her favourite places to go. Suddenly she ran off into the woods and did not come back - very out of character for Jet. We searched for three hours and she did not come back. we had all our friends and family out searching, plus countless people walking their dogs pitched in to help. she must have run all the way through the woods and onto the road, because eventually we found her in a ditch, having been hit by a car. The car who hit her did not stop.

Jet‘s rear right leg has a very complicated fracture near the joint. She also has a dislocated hip on her left side and a dislocated elbow on her left side she suffered a head injury which required stitches and other superficial injuries. We have taken her to a specialist who is confident he can fix her, but there are many variables depending on which methods they have to use and what they find when they operate. This will cost up to £12000.

There are not many people that have that kind of money lying around, us included. However, you cannot put a price on love. Jet is the sweetest dog and everyone who has ever met her loves her. I feel like she’s a part of who I am, literally my best friend and a companion who has kept me going through some really dark times. She deserves a chance. I‘ve started this just giving page in hope that I will be able to fund this vital treatment for her.
