Our community group is aiming high for this fundraiser on behalf of the school to support the potential purchase of additional land around the school.

The Dartmoor Multi Academy Trust, on behalf of Lydford School, has the opportunity to purchase land surrounding and adjoining the school playing field and forest school. Our school ethos highly values outdoor education and community involvement, so this additional space enhances opportunities for environmental studies for children at the school, and it provides potential for a community space. As a small school, budgets are tight, the school does not have the necessary financial backing to secure the land.

* The Dartmoor National Academy Trust must seek permission from the Department for Education before they can purchase the land. In the unlikely event that these permissions are not granted donors will be offered a refund or they will have the option to donate to the schools many other fundraising needs.
