I became a SPARKLER mentor by progressing through Approachable Parenting (AP) positive Programme and was inspired by Kathleen (CEO of AP). I have chosen to support AP because it is devoted to inspire and improve family life through parenting programmes.

I am a devout Muslim, Mother and wife and I believe that the family is the bedrock of society. I am passionately aware how family life directly influences a person's mental health, personal integrity and work ethic when that person enters wider society.

For a society to effectively function and thrive it is directly influenced by the strength and quality of a family unit. Sustaining and establishing a strong family is hard work. The process of parenting children from birth to adulthood in a way that the children become productive members of society is replete with both challenges and rewards.

AP is a unique organisation designed to deliver parenting and coaching techniques using overarching principles of Faith, the programme develops skills to increase competence and positive parenting practices.

Children benefit from changes or improvements in their parents’ behaviours. The practical skills parents take home encourage children to grow and integrate into mainstream society.
