Story
Thanks for visiting our team fundraising page.
The team consists of various members of staff (including Headteachers and deputy Headteachers) from 7 different schools and the Educate Group. Meilir Ashford, Rob Nicholson, Nathan Williams, Stuart Rogers, Neil Williams, Dewi Wyn Hughes, Bryan Griffiths, Paul Noon, Pete Davies, Matt Lewis, Gavin Cass, Ed Cass, Don Cass and possibly more will all be part of this amazing team.
We therefore respectfully ask that you try to donate via this page only and not to the individual schools. As a team, we have decided to enter this journey together and support one another throughout. We want to see how much money we can raise together and then share this out equally between the schools and our chosen charity - NE Wales Mountain Search & Rescue (NEWSAR). Members of Educate Group are taking no share of the money raised but are participating in the event and helping to raise money in order to support our schools and the chosen charity.
Training is now well underway as school staff from 7 different schools attempt to push themselves to the limit by taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge.
This challenge involves walking the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours and is not one for the faint hearted.
The challenge starts in Scotland at Ben Nevis, which at 1,344 metres (4,409 ft) is the tallest of the three.
From there the expedition will drive south into the Lake District where they climb Scafell Pike, 978 m (3,209 ft).
The final of the three is the Welsh mountain, Snowdon, standing at no less than 1,085 m (3,560 ft).
The group will set off during the early hours of 22nd June 2019 with the aim of raising money equally for our schools and a worthy charity in NE Wales Mountain Search & Rescue.
