My name is Summer, I am 8 yrs old and I have decided to get 8" of my hair cut off and send it to Little Princess. This is an organisation that makes wigs for little girls, who have lost their hair due to cancer treatments. At the same time, I wanted to take advantage of this opportunity and go a bit further to raise money for a charity that is close to my heart. The charity I have chosen is the MND (motor neurone disease) North Wiltshire because my nan was diagnosed with MND last year. MND North Wiltshire have been great with my nan and all of our family.
MND is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that attacks the upper and lower motor neurones.
Degeneration of the motor neurones leads to weakness and wasting of muscles, causing increasing loss of mobility in the limbs, and difficulties with speech, swallowing and breathing.
