You're doing what?

"Why the wheelie bin?" - It came from a joke during an initial chat about doing a very long fundraising walk - "Where's ya bin? Wheelie?" and so it escalated from there and seemed like a good albeit slightly madcap idea at the time...

"Why the weird Eddie the Eagle style Elf costume?" - Father Christmas (Fr Herbert Christmas III from the secret region of the North Pole called Xmäslandá) has got a wonky SatNav. He told me that in order to save Christmas & 'XMÄSFEST' (The Original & Best Nordic Christmas Party - for tickets go to www.xmasfest.party ) I need to recalibrate the satnav by creating triangulated coordinates set by me walking from the upright pier at Redcar to the Eric Morecambe statue at Morecambe Bay whilst being tracked by the Xmäslandá Elves.... and apparently this will only work if I wander about for several days with XMÄSFEST logos all over my clothing. For health, safety and hygiene reasons the full Elf suit may not stay on for the full duration of the challenge.

"Who are the little chaps you're raising funds for?" - Emil is my son and Joseph is a little boy who lives in our village. Both of the boys have been through a heck of a lot in their short lives due to life long medical conditions and have already shown miraculous advances just by sheer determination and great professional help. Both boys will require unquantifiable ongoing treatment such as physio and more for the rest of their lives. 'Who am I raising funds for? - two of the bravest and pluckiest little people you're ever likely to meet.
