From research to care, we put people affected by blood cancers at our heart. Leukaemia UK supports everyone affected by leukaemia and blood cancer through carrying out world-class research and furthering advances in care. www.leukaemiauk.org.uk

Story

Our mum (Val) was diagnosed with Chronic Myloid Leukaemia 5 years ago. 5 years ago she was told she had about 3 years to live. Thanks to a trial drug and treatment at the Hammersmith Hospital, she is still with us and continues to fight on in an unbelievably positive way. There are many unknowns with Leukaemia and money is needed to research new and better ways to combat this cancer. We are raising money for a charity called Leuka (http://www.leuka.org.uk/), which funds life-saving research into causes and cures for Leukaemia.

In September, Ian and I will climb Mount Kilimanjaro, which stands at 19,341 feet and is the highest freestanding mountain in the world. It will be challenging, but nothing compared to the daily challenges faced by Leukaemia sufferers.

Ian and I ask for your support, so please dig deep and donate now.

Thanks.

Jim & Ian
