During my time in Bolivia I will be working to support some of the most disadvantaged sectors within the community.  My first project will be volunteering at Aldeas Padre Alfredo, a non-profit organisation in Santa Cruz, dedicated to helping street children in order to reintegrate them into society.  Aldeas provides the street children with shelter, food, health care, education, social and psychological assistance, and aims to bring a sense of belonging and well-being to the children. 

My fundraising efforts to date include a sponsored bike ride (the distance from Scotland to Bolivia and back - in metres), a Latin American Themed Evening, a Bonanza raffle and a Dunk Tank Dave session!

I cannot thank my family, friends, work colleagues and locals in Glasgow and Dumfries enough for all their encouragement and financial contributions.  I could not have done it without you all so please know how much I appreciate it.
