The National Three Peaks Challenge · 2 August 2014

We’re Mind, the mental health charity, working across England & Wales. We believe no one should face a mental health problem alone. We’re here for you. Whether you’re stressed, depressed or in crisis. We’ll listen, give support & advice, & fight your corner. Thanks for fundraising for national Mind.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We're a small group - 3 guys who work for Consultant Services Group and we're being joined by our friend, Steve Dobson. We are Steve Robinson, Karl Bell and Paul Brame supported by Jeanette Chadwick who will be undertaking the essential role of driving us between the Mountains. We're also being joined by another group - 3 lads from Tameside who also bring with them a driver.

The challenge is for us to reach the summits of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon (the highest peak in their respective countries - Scotland, England and Wales) within 24 hours.

We're planning to start out at Ben Nevis at around 5pm on Saturday 2nd August, arriving at Scafell Pike at 3am(ish) on the Sunday and finishing off with Snowdon, all done and dusted for 3pm - 22 hours in total with a 2 hour buffer for any disasters on route!

So what's our motivation? Primarily we're doing this in memory of our late M.D., Simon Midgley and are raising funds for Mind - the Mental Health Charity. The main motivation beyond this I guess is that it's one we can all tick off on our 'Bucket Lists'.
