Thank you for all who have sponsored us! Everyone's been exceedingly generous and it is much appreciated. We recently returned from our Cycle expedition, which was an immense success!! Thankfully we chose, what I think, were the only 5 dry consecutive days in the Lake Distrcit - we didn't have one drop of rain!! There were a couple of interesting moments, one being when Katie's pedal fell off her bike, and also when we were momentarily lost... We all thoroughly enjoyed it, albeit the ongoing hills and swarms of midges at night.
We chose to cycle in aid of the Charlie Sumption Memoiral Fund. This charity was set up in his memory of Charlie, who tragically passed away at the age of 14 in 2006, by his two elder brothers. The charity helps able, but impoverished Kenyan children by sponsoring them through secondary school (which is not free in Kenya). The charity also helps to improve facilities at the Mutunyi Primary School; it has already built a library and is funding a water conservation project.
