People traffickers are holding 80 fleeing Eritreans and hundreds of refugees from other countries hostage in horrific conditions in the Sinai Desert.

Making their way across grueling desert landscape through Libya and Egypt to Israel in a desperate search for safety, the refugees were chained, brutalised with electric shocks, isolated in desert shelters and are being forced to make extortionate payments of over £5,000 to the people smugglers for their freedom.
