Chitral in the far north of stands out for its idyllic scenery and majestic Hindukush mountains surrounding it. The over 8000 meter snow-capped Trichmir Peak also peeps over them into the valleys spread over about 15000 square kilometers. Chitral is also the doorway to Bumburet valley, where the roughly 4000 Kalash tribesmen are fighting threats of extinction and invasion into their culture.

The region is plagued with problems but also full of prospects of prosperity; the town itself is all right if compared with most of the regions around it. Abject poverty, difficult access inhospitable cratered roads, Low literacy rate, little social infrastructure, is writ large on the faces and bodies of underfed inhabitants, embodiments of helplessness.

  

Some young and talented Students of CHITRAL are trying to change the fate of their people.  They came with an Organization to provide the basic necessities to the students and to solve their problems. Their Aim is to educate their Nation and to make them good citizens, who can contribute to promote their country and to maintain Peace in the region. They collect Money from their friends and relatives and use that money for the welfare of People.

 

Chitral Students Welfare Organization (CSWO®) is a non-profitable organization, well organized by Some Students, striving to educate the people of Chitral. CSWO believes that Education plays a key role in promoting PEACE. CSWO provides Stipends, student LOANS for higher Education and they encourage Girls to get education.  CSWO arranges Seminars, to create awareness among the Youth, to preserve their rich culture and to provide some other useful information. CSWO provides free books to the schools. Career counseling is the best idea that CSWO has adopted to help students to select a field of study and to provide useful information about Local and International Institutions. CSWO arranges Musical and Cultural Shows to entertain the students, which help the students to polish their abilities and to preserve their unique culture.
