Story
Hello!!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Myself and a couple of work friends are taking part in a cycle challenge at the end of February 2010.
Over 8 days we'll be cycling 525
kilometers (325 miles), from Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, through
the rice-paddies and waterways of the Mekong Delta and
into Cambodia and on to the Royal Temples of Angkor Wat. Yes
it sounds beautiful and I'm certain it will be but probably at the painful cost of
walking like John Wayne and not being able to sit down for the rest of the
year. I've never done anything like this before so I think it may be a (slight!) shock. I've been in training clocking up the miles in the cold and wind (although in the past couple of weeks, the snow has kept me confined to the exercise bike a little bit more!)
I need to raise a pretty large amount - £3500 to be exact but I’ve
already managed to get £1500 from work and from other activities/donations so that leaves another £2000 to which I hope to raise from your generosity.
Your
donation will go towards 'Engineers Against Poverty' which is a great cause and
they're working hard for self sustainability, education and training towards the poorer areas of the world. (More details on
the left)
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and I hope to see you soon.Cuong
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your
details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted
emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and
make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So
it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and
cutting costs for the charity.
