Story

Thank you for visiting the Master Currier's fundraising page for his Charitable Appeal for the Huntington's Disease Association. Huntington's Disease is an hereditary, genetic disorder of the central nervous system. The disease usually develops in adulthood and gives rise to a very wide range of distressing physical and behavioural symptoms, which steadily become worse and place great strain on victims, their families and carers. The disease affects both men and women and rarely, can strike those under 20.  Currently there is no cure for the illness but there are many ways to manage symptoms effectively. The Huntington's Disease Association exists to support people affected by the disease and to provide information and advice to professionals whose task it is to support families living with the disease.  It also supports medical and social research relating to Huntington's disease Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also a tax efficient way to donate to the appeal: the Huntington's Disease Association gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure that 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, is added to your donation. Thank you, Philip
