Once again I am proud to be taking part in the Ladies Tractor Road Run. Last year my own mum, who is a survivor of pancreatic cancer, had just been diagnosed with breast cancer. A year later and she is doing very well. It is not until cancer touches you or a loved one that you realise how important research into this illness is.

The Ladies Tractor Road Run is a fantastic way to raise money for a worthwhile cause. It is a poignant day, as all 130 of us pink ladies have personal reasons for taking part. It is a fun day, getting dressed up in silly outfits and putting lots of pink on a tractor. And for me it is a challenge, as my tractor is a bit more unusual to drive.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Although much progress has been made, cancer sadly still claims many lives. Every penny helps to fund research into finding a cure, so please dig deep and donate now.
