Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I originally planned to do this challenge in October 2013 but have decided to do it in October 2014 to give me enough time to train and fundraise as much money as possible.
Leukaemia has touched so many peoples lives and Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research are dedicated to finding a cure for this illness. A young relation of mine died from Juvenile Myelomonocytic Leukaemia in 2008 aged 5 and his sister was recently diagnosed with the same illness at the same age so this is my inspiration to do the challenge. I am also a massive Celtic fan so Stiliyan Petrov's fight with the illness is inspiring me also.
My adventure will start on the 2nd of October 2014 at the ancient Inca capital of Cusco in Peru. From here I will cut through the Andes before a final tough climb to Tres Cruces, the last pass before the Andes begins its descent into the Amazon rainforest.
A 1,400m dirt-road descent will bring me to the forest where I will set up camp. The challenge continues as I cycle deeper into the rainforest until I reach the finish.
