In August, we will be cycling the length of the river Thames, from its source in Thameshead, Gloucestershire, to its mouth in Shoebury, Essex - a total distance of just over 200 miles.
Our aim is to raise money and help increase awareness about thrombosis (blood clots) and other conditions that increase cardiac risk in young people. We will be doing this in memory of Grahams brother, Chris, who died suddenly when a blood clot travelled to his lung. Active, seemingly healthy young adults die eveyday from undiagnosed heart conditions or thrombosis, and many of these deaths could be prevented by increased awareness, appropriate screening, and improved treatment.
Lifeblood is a charity dedicated to supporting research into how and why thrombosis occurs. Your donation will help fund their work and increase awareness of this preventable condition.
Your support is really appreciated.
