Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

This is my ongoing cycle in support of the MNDA Charity and in memory of our colleague and friend, Martin Russell .

It started in June 2011,when I rode the National Cycle Network No.72 Coast to Coast

Hadrian's Cycleway

174 miles  from Ravenglass in Cumbria  to South Shields solo and unsupported in 3 days. Raising almost £700, which was more than I ever anticipated.

In 2012, I rode another Coast to Coast route, again in support of MNDA.

The Way of The Roses  Coast to Coast

170 mile National Cycle route from Morecambe to Bridlington.Once again I rode it solo, unsupported in 3 days via Pateley Bridge & York. Starting on Thursday 14th June 2012 and reaching the end on Saturday 16th June 2012. An eventful journey.

Way Of The Roses Coast to Coast.... Again.

A 170 mile National Cycle route from Morecambe to Bridlington. Once again I rode this route as I did back in 2012, when I did it solo. This time the L2P team were back together ,Sam & Sion. We've given ourselves a conservative  3 days to do it via Pateley Bridge & York. Starting on Thursday 8th May 2014 and reaching the end on Saturday 10th May 2014. We had  a support driver this time to, in the shape of Sam's dad Mark.

London to Amsterdam

On 12th June,  Sion & I will re-unite with the More Adventure chaps to complete this 300 mile in  ride in 4 days. Four countries, stopping overnight in Calais, Bruges , Roterdam & Amsterdam.

About Me

I'm no Olympian, this is blatantly obvious if you've followed any of the journeys. Also, these are not exactly an Everest ascents , but I did two of the three Coast to Coast's solo, unsupported and fully laden without Sherpa's in 3 days, which  was a small victory for a 40 something cyclist. London Paris is by far my biggest endurance ride to date. I'm just trying to make a bit of cash to aid a very worthy charity along the way.
