The Turning Point Trust is a fantastic charity working with street-children and their families in Kibera slum, Kenya. We believe in working to meet the needs of individual children and supporting people to become the instigators of their own success.

Story

Tim and Mat are a pair of adventure seeking Brits who have decided to hop on a tandem and pedal their way from Woking, UK to Nairobi, Kenya in the name of charity. They will point themselves south-east in June 2011 and keep pedalling until they reach Kenya, a trip of over 5600 miles.

They hope to reap a huge harvest of donations that will go to the Turning Point Trust and buy farm land for single-mums from the Kibera Slum. The project takes single-mothers with their children out of Kibera and gives them training to farm their way out of poverty.

£6 will buy 12 square metres of land

£12 can provide 2 windows for the mums to look out over their plots

£18 will stake 12 fenceposts in the ground to protect the farmland

£49 will purchase 100 square metres of land

So please dig deep and donate now.
