I am cycling for Maggie's Caring Cancer Centres in a small way to "pay back" all the care and support I have received (and continue to receive) since I came back to the UK 4 years ago. It's also a journey of discovery for myself.
Through Maggie's I continue to grow whilst in the midst of cancer, and continue to live life to the full.
This site is just a small glimpse through the door of my journey.
I will finish in Santiago della Compostella in Spain which is the Camino Frances, one of the Pilgrim's ways of St. James from the 9th Century. The planned starting date is the end of May/beginning June and will take around 6 days. You can read more and track me at:
Maggie's is building a Spanish centre in Barcelona. I am not planning to go there but a very good friend of mine Darren Faill has just completed his cycle from Newcastle to Barcelona. He is spreading Maggie's news, waving the flag as well as fundraising.
Darren's website is www.CyclingSpain2011.com
