I did it !!!

I left for Cornwall on Sunday 5th september and returned from John O'Groats on Sunday 14th September. It was a long, hard slog but I did it and I was very relieved when it was all over. What an adventure !

In September I will be cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats to raise money for Yorkshire Cancer Research.

My reasons for doing this are that I lost my Mum to lung cancer last year and my girlfriend  works in a YCR-funded lab in York researching prostate cancer. I want to commemorate my Mum and I want to support the great work that is being funded by YCR in all areas of cancer research.

A discovery in one type of cancer can have an impact on other kinds of cancer and a breakthrough in Yorkshire can impact research all over the world.

Unfortunately, too many people have experienced cancer in their lives, be it personally or through loved ones. It is an insidious disease and I want to do my part to help eliminate it.
