Our story

My friend and I started cycling about a year ago and found that Exmouth was an amazing place to cycle.

We began to cycle further away and thought it would be a challenge to do a longer trip with all our gear on the bikes and camp overnight for the week travelling to Lands End and back.

We are not avid cyclists and I had never cycled further than a few miles .I hadn’t even ridden my bike for over 4 years and it was rusting away in the garden. On one days training we cycled so far away that we had done over 70miles in one morning.

We both work at The grand hotel in Exmouth and the hotel regularly raises money from the guests for charity for the Hospiscare so we thought that it would be an amazing opportunity and great incentive to do our trip for charity and raise some money for the Hospicecare.

If we can do it with just a week off work then anyone can do it.

So on Monday the 4th July at 9am we start our 266mile trip from Exmouth to Lands End and back

Starting at the Grand Hotel we will cycle over Dartmoor and then our first stop at Tavistock, then Perrenporth and finally Sennen just off from Lands End.

Our return trip to Bodmin then Princetown (not the prison I hope?) than finally return home to Exmouth

It will be an adventure

We are very great full for all the help and support from everyone who have been keen to give us some good advice.

So please give as much as you want and make our trip a worthwhile cause.

Thank you David and Jean Luc
