We're an enthusiastic and optimistic team of forty and fifty- somethings. Making the journey is Tim Davies, Brian John, Andrew George , Carol Greed, Jonathan Kinna, Claire Newton, Andrea and Bob Shimwell with Tony (the Godfather) Greed. Between us we've cycled from London to Paris and Buckworth to Bwlchtocyn. Each were four-day journeys of around 300 miles. These were just a mere warm-up for one of the UK's biggest cycling challenges - cycling the length of the UK from John O'Groats to Land's End.

We've decided this particular journey must be undertaken before we change our minds. In the spirit of nomads, we're seeking the best pastures and doing the ride 'the other way round' from North to South. So on Saturday, May 21st 2011 we'll set off on our bikes from John O'Groats on a 12 day journey downhill all the way to Land's End, a distance of around 1000 miles.

We're fortunate to be fit and healthy (maybe not after the ride!), but we all know others who've been taken by surprise with a diagnosis of cancer. Each were fantastically supported in all sorts of ways by Macmillan Cancer Support. This is our chosen 'on-line' charity for anyone who wishes to recognise and support us in our challenge.
