Raising money for Mercy Ships

Mercy Ships is an international charity that provides free medical and humanitarian services to the people of Africa using its hospital ship, the Africa Mercy. In the developing world, lack of access to basic health care can have horrific results. Mercy Ships freely provides relief to the forgotten poor - saving lives, improving quality of life and restoring hope. <p> The Africa Mercy is the world's largest non-governmental hospital ship - staffed with volunteer doctors, nurses, engineers and agriculturists - that visits ports in some of the world's poorest countries. From the 21st of June to the 7th August we're going to be cycling with all our equipment on bikes from St. Malo (N. France) to Gibraltar, a distance of 2000 miles.

The purpose of this trip is to raise money for Mercy Ships, a medical aid charity which provides health care to the world's poorest people by sending hospital ships to poverty stricken areas. For more information please visit www.mercyships.org.uk

Our target donation is £6,000, an optimistic target calculated by £1 a mile, each. All donations are welcome and will make a huge difference to these people's lives.
