Story

I am Sam Shaw's Daddy and have witnessed first hand the incredible work done by this amazing charity.

On 4th January 2013 my son was was diagnosed with Stage 4 high-risk Neuroblastoma at just 3 years old.  The NCCA UK helped our family set up an appeal for Sam which gave us a way to access potentially life saving immunotherapy treatment not available in the UK.

Through many peoples kindness and generosity we were able to raise over £250,000 to get our little boy 6 months of immunotherapy treatment in America, where the survival rates are much better than the UK.

I am pleased to say that Sam is currently doing very well.  He completed treatment 6 months ago and has started school and is enjoying life once more!

I have joined the Chester to Manchester leg of the Cycling Santa's route this year to help raise awareness for Neuroblastoma Childhood Cancer and also bring a little joy and smiles to the faces of children like Sam who have had a tough year and have missed out on so many things that many families take for granted.

Please support us in spreading awareness and if you are able please donate what you can to help children like Sam have the best chance at survival.
