Cycle London to Cambridge · 8 July 2007

For those of us lucky enough to have known him, John-Henry was a pretty remarkable chap with an enviable zest for life and a truly contented approach to everything he did. The fund was set up by his family and close friends to ensure that these qualities would continue to be celebrated and be a legacy to him.

Story

I'm in training for a cycle ride in Kenya this November and thought what better way to train and raise money for the Memorial Fund than cycling to Cambridge where John used to live.

The aim of the fund is to further the life aims and ideals of John-Henry.  John-Henry had some big life plans, and we believe we have some excellent projects to support reflecting many of the things he would have loved to be involved with.

For example we aim to give a number of bursaries to applicants from East Africa to be able to do the Masters course in Tropical Medicine and International Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.  John had got a place to do this course himself so would have loved to have given an opportunity to someone perhaps with less means.

So far the fund has managed to raise over £20,000 from everyone's fundraising efforts and our aim is to raise £150,000 over the coming years.  You can help us to make this happen.

Thank you for your support,

Rachel
