Raising money for Send a Cow

Send a Cow helps African farmers grow enough food to feed their families, sell their produce and develop small businesses that last. We do this by providing training, livestock, seeds and ongoing support; and by helping families make the most of the land and resources they already have. As a result, families are happier and healthier, children are educated, homes are improved. In turn, these families then pass on young livestock, seeds or training to others. And so on. And so on. This ‘pass on’ principle not only builds stronger communities, it allows us to help even more people to develop skills, confidence and self respect. The ‘can do will do’ attitude of Send a Cow is born out of our faming roots and our Christian faith. Working hand in hand with African farmers for over 20 years, we prove that farming in Africa works.

The Africa Rally. n. a mobile lunatic asylum which departs from London on the 13th of December and crawls its way southwards over the course of a month to the heart of Africa.

This foolishness does serve a purpose other than general mischief, though. Much money will be raised for the charities supported by the event - including Send a Cow.
