<p><em><span style="color: #993366;">Were doing a Lake District Mountain Challenge Saturday 15th October 2011. The cahllenge will incorporate the combined ascent of Scafell Pike, England's highest mountain (978 metres / 3209ft) plus Great Gable (899 metres/2949ft). Our target time to so this is 8 hours.</span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="color: #993366;">We thought what better way to celebrate the life and memory of my Uncle Cyril who brought me up as his daughter than to raise money in his name for <strong>Myeloma UK</strong>. </span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="color: #993366;"> Uncle Cyril was diagnosed with <strong>Multiple Myeloma </strong>January 2006 and lost his fight June 2011 I'm sure many of will not have heard of the cancer Myeloma or some of you may confuse it wil skin cancer ..... <strong>Myeloma</strong> or <strong>Multiple Myeloma,</strong> is a type of cancer arising from plama cells which are found in the bone marrow it most commonly occurs in people over 60 and there are about 4,000 new cases diagnosed per year which only represents about 1% of all cancers, so unless you have been directly affected your not likely to have heard of it or donated money to help them find new more effective treatments. Please please please please help us acheive our target to raise funds for myeloma UK to put into research to find a cure, the cause, prevention and safer more effective treatments.</span></em></p>
