Let me start by telling you about our event. Myself and some colleagues are all ex HM Forces. We therefore intend to walk 160 miles over 5 days through Normandy in a bid to raise money for Help for Heroes. We will be walking the invasion beaches as well as important land marks, such as Pegasus Bridge. Along the way we will also be laying wreaths at commonwealth cemeteries to remember the Heroes of yesterday while raising money for the Heroes of today. Our walk will end on the morning of the 6th of June (D-Day) on one of the beaches, precisely 66 years after the allied invastion.

We will be walking the whole route wearing World War 2 uniform includung the dreaded blistering DMS boots!
