Story

Thanks for visiting the D.A.D.S 24 (Dads Attempting Difficult Summits) fundraising page!

D.A.D.S 24 are attempting the Three Peaks Challenge on 22nd-23rd August 2009.  The challenge consists of climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon (the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales) back-to-back within 24 hours.

The charity we will be supporting is the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) at Kettering General Hospital.  This cause is special to us as one of our children was born prematurely and spent the first couple of weeks of his life in the Unit.  He is now a fit and healthy 2 1/2 year old but the start of his life would have been very different if it wasn't for the SCBU.

SCBU hardly gets and support from the government.  The incubators and specialist equipment they use cost thousands of pounds.  Most of the support they receive is through donations from the public through charitable events.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Kettering General Hospital Charity Fund gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor us now!

Thanks.
