What is the 14 Peaks Challenge?

This challenge is to consecutively climb all of the Welsh 3000 foot peaks. Many people aim to complete this within a continuous 24 hour period, we are aiming for a maximum of 18 hours including food stops.

The challenge involves some 50 kms of walking/climbing. It also includes around 3,600 metres of ascent and descent and most people will spend around 20-24 hours however we are not most people so 18 hours still stands.

Over the years I have had to fill in numerous sponsorship forms and parted with some hard earned cash for various causes so this time it's my turn to ask you all to dig deep and extract some of those surviving credit crunch coins and get sponsoring - after all I have had to shed over a stone of weight to even consider attempting this!
