On Saturday the 30th of August four brave climbing men, and one valiant driver/chef, from Dale Studios www.dalestudios.co.uk will set out to push their strength and stamina to the limits by conquering the three largest peaks in England, Scotland, and Wales within 24hrs...

Dale Studios, which is at the heart of Leicester's POS and Promotions industry, is currently approaching its 25th anniversary and as part of the ongoing celebrations Dale decided to arrange a truly memorable feat and raise a huge wad of cash for a deserving charity at the same time. The team choosing to tackle Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Scafell Pike within 24hrs comprises of: Dale (Top Dog), Ben (Top Designer), Andy (Top Driver), Owen (Top Vinyl Weeder), and Oscar (Top Pup).

The charity chosen is Macmillan Cancer Support, an important charity which has special meaning to each and everyone of us at Dale Studios, and especially those participating directly:

DALE

'When a Welshman challenges an Englishman - watch out! Since the idea of this challenge was suggested by Ben, I have been totally focused on leading the team to achieve what will be an incredible goal. The great effort by my team needs to be matched by that of Companies, family and friends. Our effort is worthless if we fail to raise maximum amounts for a cause that helps every one of us. So please, please dig deep and help.'

OWEN

'After recently losing my gran to a 10 month battle with ovarian cancer I feel that it is a great way to commemorate her life with a challenge like this. Also in the later stages of the cancer I saw the benefits of the great help that the Macmillan nurses gave to her as she was bed ridden, this will hopefully give me the extra enthusiasm needed to spur me on with this challenge.'

ANDY

'At 54 years of age, I know I am nowhere near fit enough to actually do the 'walk' but have offered my services at what I do best, the driving, and the catering (!) After watching my stepson suffer with a brain tumour for a year, and fight on a daily basis to keep his life, I have valid reason to back my colleagues in their endeavours. My stepson Neill died, aged 30 years, in 2006, leaving a wife and three little daughters, one aged 3 years and twins aged just 7 months. Coming to terms with his impending death was cushioned by the help of the Macmillan Nurses at the hospice in which he died.  Their support was unconditional and very welcome.'

OSCAR

'At the age of 2 I lost my granma to cancer and my dad tells me how difficult it was for him to lose someone to cancer, by undertaking the Three Peaks challenge I feel I'll be reaching a really important personal achievement, and also raising money for a worthwhile cause.'

BEN

'Macmillan do a fantastic job of supporting those living with cancer and I have personally seen the affect this disease has had on people close to me, and also on their family and friends. The 3 peaks is not only a major personal challenge, but also a great way of raising money for a charity which exists to help and improve the lives of people affected by cancer. Completing this challenge will not only be a great achievement but will be made more significant by the fact we are supporting a very worthwhile cause.'

We have set up a Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/dalestudiosthreepeaks/ account so that photos of the team's preparation and final accomplishments can be viewed by one and all, and a blog of events will be appearing on the Brasher website http://blog.brasher.co.uk/blog/articles so please add us as a Flickr contact if you have an account and also keep an eye on the Brasher Blog to see if any of the team's ugly mugs pop up!

This is a really great challenge which everyone in our office is tackling with hearty enthusiasm so any feedback or further information you might need please direct to myself at charisse@dalestudios.co.uk  and I'll do my best to help, similarly if you would like to offer support in a more tangible sense (for example we are keen for more Raffle prizes!) we'd be more than delighted to hear from you.

As is visible on the left hand side we are delighted to have been offered a wonderful raffle prize by Kilworth House Hotel, and for every £50 donated (before Gift Aid) you will be entered into a draw to win a luxury weekend for two at Kilworth House Hotel, inclusive of room and meals!

It's imperative that after making any donation you email me at charisse@dalestudios.co.uk with your full name, address and contact details to ensure your entry into this amazing raffle. Please be assured your details will be held in the strictest confidence and only used to contact you regarding the Dale Studios Three Peaks Challenge.
