I'm taking part in the BUPA Great North Run on 20th September 2009, it's the worlds 'biggest' half marathon!!! I've never done anything like this before, it's a personal challenge for me but I'm also trying to raise money for Heart Research UK, as I feel it's a great cause, especially when considering heart disease affects so many people across the UK.

I've been training for the past few months and feel the training has gone well, I've now managed the race distance in 1 hour 57 minutes, so I feel ready! (famous last words? I hope not!) As it's the last week before the event I'll try and update the page more regularly to see how my last minute preparations are going. Perhaps with more photo's of me in my running gear :-)

UPDATE 15/09/09 15:30: Did a nice easy 3.5 miles last night to keep the ol' legs working :-) but LOOK the 'Target' has changed...it's gone up to £500. Why I hear you ask? Well, all the nice people have already helped me reach the previous target (obviously it was too easy!) So lets see if we can raise the game a little...Come On!! :-)
