I have set myself a two year training programme to compete in the "ULTRA MARATHON" Marathon des Sables 2009. Having never run a marathon before let alone 150 miles accross the Sahara Desert in up to 50 degree heat with your help and support this will give me the motivation to raise as much money as possible to donate to such a worthy charity.
Being a self sufficient event I have to carry all my equipment with me for the 6 day race, this will include all my food, clothing, sleeping bag first aid kits and of course water which is rationed!!!!! This race will test me both physically and mentally to my limits and beyond. If you can spare a moment to sponsor me the money will help people with a learning disability and their carers lead lives which we take for granted.
