2016, the year I celebrate my 40th birthday and also the 5 year anniversary of the passing of my good friend Wayne Wilson.

Before he died, he was able to marry his childhood sweetheart, Sammy, in a fairytale white wedding. Thanks partly to the heavy snow, but more so to the Willow Foundation who made all the arrangements.

After Wayne's passing, I was involved in a group setup in his memory to raise funds for Bloodwise (formerly Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research). We infamously climbed the wrong mountain as part of the 3 Peaks Challenge, making national headlines. Ironically, this actually helped our fundraising efforts and we went on to top £15,000!

5 years on, I'd like to give something back to the Willow Foundation as a thank you for helping Wayne fulfill his dying wish. I'm not taking part in any challenges or events. But January 14th is my 40th birthday and I'm asking friends and family to make a donation in lieu of sending me a card/present. It would be a truly fantastic gift, however big or small your donation.
