Story

In June I will be heading to Geneva to take part in the most gruelling physical challenge I've ever attempted in my lifetime.  The Fireflies Tour is an 8 day cycle tour from Geneva to Cannes through the French Alps, taking in all the great mountain climbs and covering 1000+km.  Its a special event.  Special because its like running at least 8 marathons back to back.  Special because its akin to riding the Tour de France routes through this glorious and daunting part of France. Special because it is a team of amateurs taking on scarily serious cycling for charity and most importantly, special because it raises money for a wonderful charity called Leuka.

Leuka raises funds to support life-saving research into the causes and treatment of leukeamia and other blood disorders. Its goal is simple: to create a better future for patients both here in the UK and abroad.    I don't think I know anyone anymore who has not been touched by cancer in one of its many forms which only makes this research even more important.

I would be so so grateful if you would sponsor me to get over those hills!!  Every penny raised on this page goes directly to the charity.  The cost of taking part, my travel, food etc. is all paid for by each and every rider to maximise what we raise.
