Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As you may or may not be aware my first few months on this planet were to say the least 'rocky'. But thanks to pioneering developments in medicine, ongoing research by the British Heart Foundation, the dedicated team at Southampton hospital and two major operations later I'm here now.
I've been (we will call it running) now for a few years, I started to run to try to improve my fitness, avoid taking the pills I would have to take if I didn't exercise and maybe even loose a few pounds. This has included 4 Great South runs, 4 Mud runs and many park runs.
I have put myself forward for the London Marathon for 4 years without success in the public ballot. I have set 2017 to be my challenge year.... this includes the BIG one, LONDON marathon, I will also be completing my first half marathon and triathlon (still cant swim!) and I have the great south run to do again.
Some people have called me mad. I'm not so sure, maybe crazy! All I want to do is show people that it doesn't matter what you are dealt in life, do the best with what your given, push boundaries and challenge yourself. I've learnt to love my scars... I'm proud of my scars... my scars are me.
This is only a very small way I can give back and I hope you can find it in your heart to donate a few quid to this charity that helped not only me but my family through my early years.
