Keech Hospice is a charitable organisation providing free specialist palliative and end-of-life care for adults and children in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, and Milton Keynes. With a mission to help people live well and die with dignity.

Story

Hi, and thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Well, for my sins I have decided to run the Dublin Marathon on October 27th this year. Utterly ridiculous I know, but I figured that giving a bit back to this world (see below) after 29 years of taking isn't such a bad thing ! On top of that, Dad has run a good few Marathons, and my Sis, Jo, a couple as well - I couldn't be the odd one out of the Jamieson clan could I !?

I am running the Marathon to raise money for the Keech Cottage Childrens Hospice (the Pasque Charity) - providing care for children who are suffering from life limiting conditions. Pasque require £4 million a year to continue operation, of which £3 million must be gained from fund raising, sponsorship and charity events. It's an extremely worthwhile cause. Please visit www.pasque.org for further information.

The flights are booked, the training is underway, and I've reluctantly agreed that my social life could take a turn for the worse in the next few months !

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Pasque Charity gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now, and make a difference in someone else's life who may not be as fortunate as you.

Thanks for your generosity, and wish me luck - I need it !!

Dan

PS - Close Gentlemen friends, I shall not (and will not) be attempting to run 26.2 miles in the ridiculous attire that you see in the picture to your left. No special requests. I thank you.
