Story
Hi
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page for the Manchester 100mile (160km) Bike Ride (it's next week, 7th September).
I've decided to ride for the Cambodian Children's Charity
Please sponsor me, it doesn't matter how much, every bit counts
Why I hear you ask?
Well, I'm doing the ride because I like to ride and it looks like a challenge
I've decided to link a charity to it because I can. I mean, I have a very nice bike, matching lycra (steady on), think nothing of buying things I think I need and in general plead ignorance to the real wars out there. Someone close who is making a difference rattled my cage a little and this is my simple way of making a difference.
Why the Cambodian Children's Charity? Personal reasons, some of which include I remember seeing the press on Cambodia when I was but a wee little lad in Australia. I have an affinity for working with Children after a 3 month stint in the US working with disabled children. I also want to raise the awareness of my own children to appreciate what they have and decide how they want to make a difference and last but not least, all admin work in this Charity is done by the trustees for free and that means most of your donation hits the mark
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Cambodian Children's Charity gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thanks
