Dan and Jamie are running the London Marathon in April 2011 for the children's cancer charity CLIC Sargent.
Every day 10 families are told that their child has cancer. Diagnosis often comes as a shock. Treatment usually starts straightaway and can last up to three years.
As the children’s cancer charity, CLIC Sargent is there… with clinical, practical and emotional support, every step of the way.
What do they do?
- They help as many children and young people as possible survive cancer and make the most of their lives
- They help the whole family cope with the trauma of cancer, life after treatment and, in some cases, with bereavement
- They make sure that young people with cancer and their families can speak out about their needs and get involved in how CLIC Sargent can meet them
