Thank you to everyone who has donated!
On Saturday 22 September we danced 26.2 miles into the centre of Birmingham, much for the confusion and amusement of the Saturday afternoon shoppers! We were on the go for over 10 hours, with three half-hour breaks for stretching, food and energy drinks.
We couldn't have kept going without your kind words of support and the very generous donations.

Hi all!
In a moment of madness we've decided to sign up to dance a marathon - that's 26.2 miles - on Saturday 1 September to raise money for the inspiring charity, Learn Burma. This is a challenge because:
1) 26.2 miles is a long, long way - longer than we'd usually walk, let alone dance
2) We're not really very fit
3) Sarah broke her leg in January, and seeing as she can currently only hobble along dancing for 26.2 miles in 5 months time is a pretty daunting thought!
So why put ourselves through all this? It's for the amazing Learn Burma - you can read more about the organisation below and the Dance Britain challenge on their website.
It'd be amazing if you could dig deep and sponsor us to help us reach our joint target of £800 (£400 each) - every donation, however small, will help.

LearnBurma’s aims are to INSPIRE and ENCOURAGE our young generation in the UK, through raise awareness talks & workshops, and capturing young people’s interest via high dynamic campaigns (such as Free to Dance 2011 and Dance Britain 2012). As well as bringing Burma alive by connecting classrooms 6,000 miles apart – enabling students and teachers to interact, share and learn in schools around the UK and those in and around Burma.
LearnBurma is partnered with four other exceptional organisations – AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL, PROSPECT BURMA, BURMA CAMPAGN UK and PARTNERS RELIEF & DEVELOPMENT, all for a better Burma. Dance Britain comes at a crucial time, as the possibility of change looks more and more likely within the country, and the need for support is greater than ever.
