Nordoff and Robbins is the UK’s largest music therapy charity, with a unique approach shaped by more than 60 years of practice. Through the power of music, it breaks through the barriers caused by life-limiting illness, disability and social isolation. The charity does this through providing music therapy to people across the UK, whilst also training the music therapists of the future and funding research to measure and improve the impact of its work.

Story

Hi, I've decided to ride 162 miles from London to Donington in 2.5 days in aid of Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy, Childline/NSPCC and Teenage Cancer Trust.

The trip starts at 8am at Alexandra Palace on Wednesday 12th June, finishing at midday at the Download rock festival on Friday 14th June.  I'm then spending the weekend at Download, although I suspect Friday will be a bit of a quieter day than usual!

I decided to do this at 11pm on Wednesday 1st May (whilst 100% sober!), then bought a bike and registered on the 2nd May!  This weekend I've done my first training rides, including 15 miles yesterday, and am about to head out on a 25 mile trip today.  To repeat a phrase that I often use "It can't be that hard, it's just stuff to do innit!"

As per usual with these things, donating through JustGiving is simple and secure, you don't have to worry about details getting sold on etc, so dig deep and donate now!
