Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
The Eden Valley Hospice, based in Carlisle, need over £2 million a year to fund their work. Around 20% of this is provided by the NHS, leaving a shortfall of about £1.5 million to be found through the donations and fundraising efforts of the generous public.
My aim is to raise as much money as possible to help the charity that is close to many people's hearts.
Kilimanjaro is the biggest mountain in Africa and is also the highest place on earth reachable without technical climbing equipment - this will be a tough challenge to say the least - but a challenge to be taken on to help such a worthwhile cause.
I will start my trek in January, 2010. This will give me time to generate needed funds for the Hospice and I hope all my dear friends will help me in my quest! It's such a cliché but donations, however small or large, will be greatly appreciated! With some pestering, general bugging and arrangement of fundraising events in the coming months, hopefully a few quid be collected.
