<div class="frp-message clearfix dotted-border-blue"> <div class="frp-message-body"> <p>I am running the Great South Run on 30th October to raise funds for the South Yorkshire Heart Appeal.</p> <p>The reason I am running for this charity is because my mum had successful emergency aortic heart surgery last November at the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield.</p> <p>This appeal raises funds to support world class research at the Cardiovascular Biomedical Research Unit, which is one of only 5 such research centres in the country, as well as supporting the medical care at the South Yorkshire Cardiothoracic Centre for heart patients in the region.</p> <p>The company I work for, Amey, will double any donation.</p> <p>Thanks a lot for all your generous donations to help me reach my target.&nbsp; I completed the run in 1 hour 47 minutes.&nbsp;</p> </div> </div>
