In 2012 I spent months in and out of hospital before being diagnosed with a Type 1 choledoceol cyst. I had to have major open surgery (a roux en y hepaticojejunostomy and cholecystectomy) to remove the cyst, my bile duct and move my bowel to make a new bile duct. It wasn't pleasant but I was one of the lucky ones. Left untreated this could have developed into Cancer. I am so grateful for the treatment and care I received from numerous surgeons, doctors and nurses and would like to give back to them! Please help me to reach my target!
