Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am 33 years old and work in the IT industry.  In the IT industry, that makes me old.  They say that to get sponsorship for charity you have to do something that makes you suffer, so that people take pity and give you money.  Well friends, I am embarking on a 24 hour endurance challenge - no not the computer games bit, that's the distraction.  No, my endurance challenge is spending 24 hours in a room... with a bunch of twentysomethings.

Imagine my pain - not understanding half of what they say and enduring the never-ending Spotify playlists from 'artists' I've never heard of.  Just think, whilst your dropping off to sleep, I'll be dropping the bass with Skrillex...

On a serious note, we set out to raise money and to give all that money to charity, rather than spending the first £x on say a parachute jump.  Mencap do amazing work all over the UK, striving to give a voice and equality to those who would otherwise face an insurmountable challenge in our society.

I truly believe that a disability doesn't have to define a person. With your help, Mencap can keep striving every day to make that vision a reality.
