Solent Coasts Cycling Challenge · 18 February 2008

We are all unpaid volunteers. We drive trucks and deliver humanitarian aid directly to people living in extreme poverty. Our current focus is the refugee crisis, as well as our commitment to Kosovo. Aid has been taken to Lesbos, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, Montenegro, Romania, Philippines, & Syria.

Story

On Saturday 21st June 2008 I will be taking part in the Solent Coasts Cycling Challenge (www.cyclingchallenge.org.uk ).

-------------------------------------------------------------------

A 66 mile trip around the south coast and the Isle of Wight involving 6 separate ferry crossings and a pair of very tired legs at the end of it!

The event is supporting:

- Growing Care ( www.growingcare.org.uk )

A UK Registered charity, located in Siminoc, near Constanta, Romania where they aim to teach street children cultivation and animal husbandry skills

- Hope and Aid Direct ( www.hopeandaiddirect.org.uk )

100% voluntary, humanitarian aid charity who transport that aid and donations in convoys of lorries to Romania, Bosnia, Croatia and Serbia.

- Women for Women ( www.women-for-women.org )

Women for Women is committed to improving serious conditions that can affect women and their babies.

Many thanks to everyone for sponsoring us
